Join PBI On September 21 For Yogi’s Big Catch Challenge

2025 marks the year that the legendary Yogi Berra would have turned 100. What better way to celebrate one of the most beloved baseball players in history than by capturing a GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS™ title for the game he loved best?

Yogi’s granddaughter Lindsay Berra is helping to organize what she hopes will be a record-setting day of getting to the very essence of the game of baseball – playing catch.

Fans of all ages are invited to come to Yogi Berra Stadium on the campus of Montclair State University in Little Falls on Sunday September 21 for Yogi’s Big Catch Challenge.

IN order to set a new record for the Largest Game of Catch (baseball/softball), we’re looking for a minimum of 973 pairs – or 1,946 players – playing catch simultaneously for just five minutes. Pairs will be set up around the stadium, and there’s no need to worry about your skill level because unlike a baseball game, it’s okay to drop the ball!

Complete details can be found on the Yogi Berra Museum website – www.yogiberramuseum.org

We would love to see as many of the PBI Baseball Family as possible join us

Lindsay Berra was a recent guest on the Jersey Magazine radio show hosted by Jim Monaghan that airs on WDHA in Morristown.
