BAT REGULATIONS
Bat Restrictions – all bats must either be wood, BBCOR or USA Baseball certified and stamped
- 10U 46-60 and under – Little League authorized USA Baseball certified bats
- 11U & 12U 50-70 – either wood, BBCOR or USA Baseball certified bats only
- 13U: -5 drop or less barrel not to exceed 2 5/8” (metal, wood bats allowed) *
- 14U: drop of -3 or less, barrel not to exceed 2 5/8” (metal, wood bats allowed) * *
- 13u & 14u any composite bat MUST be BBCOR
- High School divisions – wood bat ONLY – composite wood bats are allowed (for fall, BBCOR bats are permissable)
GAME PLAY
- 8U through 10U – adhere to Williamsport Little League Rules
- All games six innings in length
- 11U and 12U 50×70 – adhere to Major League Rules
- All games seven innings in length
- 13U through 18U 60×90 – adhere to Major League Rules
- All games seven innings in length
- ALL LEVELS – two-hour time limit
PITCH COUNT RULES
- 8U – maximum 65 pitcher per day
- 9U, 10U – maximum 75 pitcher per day
- 11U, 12U – maximum 85 pitches per day
- 13U, 14U – maximum 95 pitches per day
- High School – maximum 110 pitcher per day
- Pitchers can finish batter when maximum number has been reached
PITCH REST RULES
8U through 12U
- 4 days rest 66 or more pitches
- 3 days rest for 51-65 pitches
- 2 days rest for 36-50 pitches
- 1 day rest for 21-35 pitches
13U through HS Divisions
- 4 days rest 76 or more pitches
- 3 days rest for 61-75 pitches
- 2 days rest for 46-60 pitches
- 1 day rest for 31-45 pitches
- Pitch Rest rules MUST be adhered to for doubleheaders
- Pitch Rest rules MUST be adhered to for playing on back-to-back days
PROTESTS
- Must be announced at game to home plate umpire prior to the next pitch
- Protesting coach must provide report to League Official within 24 hour time period
- Will be $100 fee for protest; if protest upheld, fee will be refunded
- Playoffs: same rules apply
ROSTER/LINEUP
- 8U through 14U – 15 Player Limit
- High School Divisions – 20 Player Limit
- Line-Up Rules – starter may return to same spot in lineup. The sub being removed is done for the game. Only exception is due to injury; any non-starter may replace the injured player.
- EH (extra hitter): allowed for all divisions. Line-Up will be 10 players for complete game. Allowed to play field as one of 9 defensive players (including the pitcher). Starter can re-enter once following regular substitution rules.
- DH (designated hitter): only 50×70 and 60×90 divisions. Cannot play field. Normal substitution rules apply; otherwise MLB rules apply.
- Cinderella Line-Up all players bat. Only 9 defensive players (including pitcher) allowed on the field at any time.
- Recap: Line-up can be 9, 10 with EH, or Cinderella; are the only line-ups allowed
STANDINGS
- Winning Coach must provide winning score, original game date, Player of the Game via email to: scores@baseballclinics.com
- Standings will be based on Winning Percentage
TIE-BREAKERS
- Head-to-head
- Lowest RA (runs against) head-to-head
- Lowest overall RA
- Coin Flip by League Official
MISCELLANEOUS RULES
Speed Up Rule – OPTIONAL Rule
- With two outs, a runner can be put in for the catcher or pitcher of record that is on the bases.
- If batting 9,10, the runner cannot be in the game.
- If Cinderella lineup, the last batted out.
- Discuss during ground rules so all parties aware.
Balks –
- 11U & 12U 50×70 – One warning, then called.
- 13U, 14U, High School Divisions – Called
Stealing Rule Exception:
- 8U: No steals of home from 3rd, must be scored by ball in play
Mercy –
- Six inning games: 10 runs after losing team has 4 at bats
- Seven inning games: 10 runs after losing team has 5 at bats
