Two of Professional Baseball Instruction's top players are making a name for themselves this spring. Pitcher Pat Butler (Chatham High School junior) reached perfection on May 7th with a 7-inning complete PERFECT GAME performance against Parsippany. Butler K'd nine in the process, throwing just 77 pitches including 21 consecutive strikes from the 4th through 6th innings.

Meanwhile, Fordham University senior Rich Goulian has been attracting the attention of numerous pro scouts with his hitting and baserunning - he's one of three Fordham players with 30 or more steals.

Rich and Pat have been training with PBI since elementary school and we congratulate them on their accomplishments.

NEW! PBI 17U SELECT EAGLES

Professional Baseball Instruction is taking its acclaimed Eagles program to new heights! The 17U PBI Eagles is designed as a high caliber high school tournament team that will expose players to numerous college recruiters and professional scouts throughout the season. The 17U Eagles will feature an approximate 55 game schedule from June thru October. We will face the best teams on the East Coast from Massachusetts to Virginia and possibly Florida. The majority of our games will be played in New Jersey & New York.

The 17U Eagles will play as an independent team, meaning we will not play in a league. Playing as an independent “club team” gives us the flexibility to attend “Nation Wide” tournaments. These tournaments will play a big role in the college recruiting process; this is when we will start to see many college coaches present at our games. PBI LEAGUE NEWS - SPRING LEAGUE IS UNDERWAY

The PBI Baseball League is now underway at all age levels. The PBI Baseball League offer 8U, 9U, 10U, 11U, 12U, 13U, 14U and high school levels of play in the spring, summer and fall. Complete details on the PBI Baseball League and the ECTB/USSSA affiliation can be found here.

PROFESSIONAL BASEBALL INSTRUCTION ANNOUNCES NEW DATES FOR THE PBI SQUIRTS BASEBALL PROGRAM

Professional Baseball Instruction’s Squirts Baseball Program has been a big hit with both children and their parents. It’s a baseball clinic designed for the ultimate rookie - players between the ages of 3 and 5 who are being exposed to the Game of Baseball for the first time. This organized series is a non- competitive, six-week long session designed to teach players and their parents the role of baseball in a young one's life. Squirts is now offered on Saturdays, too! Dear Parents and Players,

Thanks for taking the time to check out Professional Baseball Instruction. Baseball has been a life-long passion for me and I look forward to imparting that love of the game on your child as we enter our 15th year of baseball and softball training. Our winter baseball instruction programs are in full swing; with your help, PBI has taken youth baseball instruction to a higher level than ever before. Whether you've joined a camp or clinic, or have hit in our state-of-the-art batting cages, your friendship and support is what makes all of this possible. I believe, more than ever, that the PBI facility and staff are by far the finest in New Jersey and quite possibly the entire United States.

One of the things I am most proud of here at PBI is our Winter Training Programs for high school and junior high school students. It's quite honestly the best off-season training program anywhere - we're talking Major League-quality training! We have also recently introduced a 17U Eagles program for elite high school baseball players that looks to get these players exposure to colleges and professional scouts.

There have been many significant changes throughout the years here at PBI. And 2008 is shaping up to be our biggest year ever with PBI redesigning our winter clinic format to allow for more coach-to-player interaction. We truly believe that you will notice and appreciate the difference. Our quality coaching staff is the finest available and continues to raise the bar day after day, year after year on youth baseball instruction.

Teaching baseball, and teaching the life-lessons associated with the Game Of Baseball is such a wonderful thing. At PBI, we do both with a passion, and a respect for The Game. The PBI staff is trained to teach The Game in such a way that makes it both fun and exciting. Creating great baseball memories that last a lifetime is our goal for all of our students and their families.
